5th Anniversary, Vegas Style

The Famous Sign...and yes, a couple was about to get married at the sign when we were there taking out pictures! They will have the same anniversary as us!

What a great time we had in Las Vegas! It was really fun to hang out with Brad and Brooke. When we landed at the airport, Jason and Brad had arranged a limo to take us to our hotels! It was really fun! Brad and Brooke have been to Vegas several times before so it was fun having our own personal tour guides! The first day there we walked and looked at all the hotels, which are amazing! One is bigger and better than the next! We also got to take a gondola ride which was actually inside our hotel and see The Lion King. Hans down, the best performance I have ever seen! We celebrated our 5th anniversary on Friday and it was Brooke's birthday on Saturday! We ate at great restaurants along the way! Jason and I also went to a wax museum where we saw lots of celebrities made of wax! It was very fun! Brad got us a car and we drove to Hoover Dam. That was amazing. We got to see the new bridge they is about to open up. It was a very cool experience. It was an awesome trip but as always, it was great to get home to our little MG!

Hey Baby, Lets Go To Vegas

Jason and I are headed to Vegas today! We are so excited! We are going to celebrate our 5th Anniversary, all ready! We are going with our good friends, Brad and Brooke. It should be a fabulous trip! We are going to see the Lion King on Saturday night. I got the tickets for my birthday and now it is time to use them! I am so excited to see the Lion King. It is one of my all time favorite movies and I love the music in it too!

McKenzie is off to Grandma's house. She was so excited when I woke her up today and told her that today was the day to go to Grandma's! McKenzie told me right away that she was going to feed the fish and the dog with Papa Norton. They have a big fish pond and McKenzie loves to feed the fish. She is going to have a blast and be spoiled all over!

Food Fears

Last night at supper club there was a huge event! We all faced our food fears! It was so much fun! Heider went first. He eats nothing and I mean nothing green. So he had to eat broccoli, and yes it was covered in cheese! Very yummy to me! Next went Katie. She has not eaten a hotdog since 5th grade. That was years ago. So, she ate a corn nugget. Yes, it was covered in batter and fried! Lobello went next. She has not eaten pork or beef in 15 years. She stopped eating it thinking she was going to be "healthier" and never ate it again...until last night! She ate pork loin and yes, it was covered in a syrup sauce. I had to eat turnip greens. Guess what, they were not covered in anything. They smelled awful and guess what...they tasted AWFUL too! Jason did not have to try anything because he does not have any food fears. He will try anything once. McKenzie was the cheerleader for all of us! It was really fun to face a fear and be able to say, I have tried it and I just don't like it. That just sounds better to me than, I have never tried it! Lobello is defiantly the winner though. She ate most of her piece of pork. And...she LIKED it!! Next time she will be trying beef!

Dinner is served!

Heider is first with broccoli!

The bite!

The after face...he did not like it very much!

She did not like it either!

Lobello showing off her bite of pork...she was ready!

Chewing, chewing, chewing!

Gone and a smile too! She liked it!

McKenzie cheering us on!

Precious!

Yea! You can do it!

Turnip greens on the fork...

in the mouth...and it was all I could do to swallow that mess. It was so gross! Heider was brave too and tried them also! He hated them too!

After we all faced out fears we had a delicioud Publix cake to eat! It is a bit of a joke as well. Lobello does not eat beef, well not yet, and Heider does not eat tomatoes or onions and neiter do I. So, there we faced another fear!

Katie even had our names put on it!

Such a fun night!

Happy 1st Birthday Braden

Yesterday was Braden's 1st birthday party! He turned one on Friday and we all celebrated Saturday. Braden is the son of Brad and Brooke, our really great friends. Brooke threw a fabulous football party for their lil' quarterback! Everyone was supposed to dress in their favorite sporting attire. We were the only UGA fans there. Everyone else was Auburn! We had a delicious BBQ lunch and wonderful cake for dessert! Braden was not that into making a mess with his cake. I think that he was in shock that it was all his and he could touch it! He was so sweet like he always is and just went with the flow. We had a great time and as always it was great to hang out with our friends! Happy 1st Birthday sweet baby Braden! We love you!

Somewhere Over the Rainbow

Last night we had the most gorgeous rainbow across the street. It stretched as far as you could see. These pictures do not do it justice. It was every beautiful color of a rainbow. Just a little reminder from God that He will never flood the Earth again!
