Hey Everyone! I have to report about what I did last night! Last night I went with 7 of my girl friends to see Kate Gosselin speak in Atlanta. It was so cool! If you do not know who she is, she is the Kate, the mom, on Jon and Kate plus 8! She basically told their story about how they wound up with 8 children and how God has help them and blessed them so much. It was very interesting. She is a very real person and very much what you see is what you get with her. I have to say though that we were sitting in the very back of the church but my friend Ellen was on the front row. So half way through awesome, brave Katie walks my camera down to Ellen for some gets pictures! It was a super fun night!

ER... Here We Come
Hey everyone! I just wanted to update about our first ER visit! Wednesday, McKenzie had felt warm all day but played great, talked and squealed, and ate fine. By Wednesday night she had a fever of 101.5. I gave her some Motrin and checked it 3 hours later and it was 101.9. So I called the nurse hot line at our pediatrician's office and they said that I needed to watch her and check it in a few hours and if it got up to 103 I needed to take her to the ER because of course it is nighttime and no doctors are opened! Around 10:30 McKenzie woke up and was burning up. Her face was red, her ears were red, and her little hands were even red. So I took her temperature again and it was 103.1. I called the nurse line back and told them it was above 103 and she said that we needed to take her to the closest ER. We loaded up and by now it is 11 pm. We drive to our local ER about 20 minutes away. When we got there there were tons of people in front of us. So we waited about 20 minutes with all kinds of people. McKenzie was the youngest one there. Everyone was smiling at her and talking to her! They called our name and we went back to have her vital signs done. The nurse asked us if we cared if we had a hall bed. We said we did not if it got us through faster. Poor McKenzie was so confused. She wanted to just sleep but there was way too much for her to look at and way too much going on around us for her to even rest. Her head was just a turning! So we soon found out that a hall bed was literally a bed in the hall! So we really had a view of everything that was going on. This lady came by and got our insurance card and brought us some paperwork to fill out. A little while later this doctor walks down the hall and is saying where is my little McKenzie? McKenzie where are you? (There were lots of people in hall beds!) So we said she is right here and he came over. He checked her ears, throat, and all was well. Then he said we have to check her for a kidney infection, bladder infection, or UTI. To do all these we need a urine sample so we will have to install a catheter. So they took us to a room and McKenzie never even moved. She did such a good job! So all those tests were well and the diagnosis was just a virus. She had a fever all day yesterday but it is gone today! It was just so weird because she never acted sick, she just had a fever. So, that was our first experience to the ER! What a night! We hope you all have a great weekend!

11 Months Today
Hey everyone! I just wanted to share that McKenzie Grace is 11 months today! We cannot believe it! Big plans are under way for her 1st birthday party. It is going to be a cupcake theme! She is still not walking but is so very close to it. She has this little cart that she pushes across our bedroom floor. She has not figured out how to turn the cart around. So, when she pushes it all the way across the floor and hits the wall she sits down behind it and cries until you turn the cart back around for her. Then she gets back up and pushes it until she hits the opposite wall...sits down and cries! It is hilarious to watch! She moves so fast when she is pushing something. She can stand for a few seconds and then tumbles down. She has 8 teeth total now, 4 on top and 4 on bottom. She is liking "real" food much better than baby food these days. Her favorite breakfast foods right now are frozen waffles and bananas! She loves to squeeze the banana through her fingers and into her mouth. It is funny to watch and she is eating it too! She is talking all the time. Ma ma and ba ba and noises all day long! It is so much fun. She has also learned that she can scream really loud. She loves to scream in the middle of her crying so that it is that much more dramatic! She is really quite funny!
The time change has not been fun for McKenzie. Last night she was up an hour after her bedtime. Tonight was easier. We were just 30 minutes late tonight!
Tomorrow we have a play date at the park with Brock. McKenzie will get to try out a new swing for the very first time! It is supposed to be nearly 80 degrees tomorrow so I am not sure how long we can swing. It should be fun though. Hopefully I will have some cute pictures to post for you!
We hope you all have a great week!!

Happy 1st Birthday Cousin Tate
Today is McKenzie's cousin Tate's 1st birthday! For those of you that do not know Tate and McKenzie were due one day a part. Tate due April 3rd and McKenzie due April 4th 2008. We did not know what either baby was going to be. Surprisingly Tate came nearly a month early! He was completely healthy and absolutely perfect! The weather last year on this day was so cold and rainy and nasty. I only remember that because Jason and I went to the hospital as soon as I got out of school on Friday, March 7th, 2008! We were having to drive so slow not only because Jason was trying to be careful because I was so pregnant but because of the weather. It seemed like it took us forever to get there. We could hardly stand the anticipation over meeting our first little nephew. Tate sure had a beautiful afternoon for his 1st birthday today!
Tate had a wonderful party today! He was surrounded by family and friends. His birthday was a monkey theme! His mom made him the cutest little monkey cake just for him to eat! Aunt Amber even found monkey tails for all the kids to clip on and wear! She is amazing! There was a CD playing of all monkey songs, cups with monkeys on them, banana leaves for decorations and even banana shaped cookies for the kids! Aunt Amber and Uncle Brian also made yummy BBQ for lunch with all the sides! It was such a special day and we are so glad that we got to go and be part of it. We cannot believe that Tate is already 1! He is such a little sweetie! I love to call him my sweet Tater! I hope you enjoy the pictures below of our super fun day at Cousin Tate's 1st Birthday Party...Monkey Style!
Look at how cute his cake is! Way to go Amber!!

Preschool
Hey everyone! I just wanted to update you on McKenzie...She is officially registered for preschool! She was begin the day after Labor Day! McKenzie is going to First Baptist Douglasville on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9-12. This will give her some much needed time with other children! She will play on the playground, in the gym, have a Bible lesson, snack, and play some more! She will be in the Ladybug room. There are only 8 children per room with one teacher and an assistant. I think she will really enjoy it!

*S*N*O*W*
Hey everyone! We just wanted to report that we have snow! Today, McKenzie got to see her very first snow! We took her out in it after we got home from church today long enough to get some pictures! It was really coming down! The flakes were huge! However, it has already started to warm up and melt. We are supposed to get another snow this evening! We shall see. The wind has really begun to blow and that also is taking away our snow. We hope that you all enjoy our pictures that follow! Have a super night!
