Sky View

Last Friday, we went to ride Sky View. It is the new Ferris Wheel in Atlanta. It has just arrived here and will be staying for a while. It travels around. It is 200 feet high and is the 3rd largest in the world, they told us. You ride in these air conditioned box cars. It is so nice and was really fun!  The ride lasted 15 minutes and we went around 5 times.  Landon and McKenzie loved it! McKenzie loves to ride on a Ferris Wheel but it was Landon's first time. He just looked out the windows and did not want to get off. It was a really fun family outing!

The views were gorgeous!  This was CNN in the background.
Centennial Olympic Park
Georgia Aquarium
MG just couldn't get enough of the views!

Here is an up close picture of the cars you ride in.  They hold 6-8 people each.  There are 42 cars on the entire Ferris Wheel.  There is a VIP car that is black and say VIP on it.  It has a glass bottom and a TV monitor inside.  Also, if you buy the VIP tickets your ride is twice as long.

32 Already?

At our house, presents can't wait!  When we have a special occasion we have to do presents for it as soon as everyone is awake!  My birthday this year was no exception and Jason decided that we needed pictures of it!  So, here they are, pajamas and all!  This year I knew nothing about my birthday.  All I knew was that my mom was coming to spend the day with me and we were going to hang out at our pool.  However, my presents told me something different!  I had to open them in order and this is what I found...

Hilton Head Island!!!  Jason and I left Thursday morning and got home this afternoon.  He had it all planned that my mom would stay with the kids and we would go to HHI to this beautiful resort!  We had the best time!  It was so nice and relaxing and the resort was magnificent!  Jason totally surprised me as only his planning skills can, prepared for the kids and all I had to do was pack for myself!  It was a fabulous birthday!  Thank you Mom for watching the kids and having everything done when we got home even dinner cooked for us tonight and thank you Jason for a relaxing get-a-way!

Building Baby Jessie's Bear

Each one of our kids has a bear that we made them with their very own heartbeat in it.  I buy the recorder and take it to the doctor with me and record their heartbeat and then we go as a family and build a bear for the baby.  None of the bears ever wear clothes because we don't find out if the bear should wear girl clothes or boy clothes.  Here was our day at Build-A-Bear building this precious bear for our newest addition coming soon, Baby Jessie!  (We just call it Jessie because it is gender neutral!  McKenzie was Pat and Landon was Sam!)

Here is the bear that we decided on.
Time for a heart and a little stuffing!
 Landon loved the stuffing machine!
McKenzie got to push the peddle with her foot to stuff the bear.
Landon got to check the bear to make sure that it felt just perfect!
McKenzie put in the heart and helped tie it up.
 Bath time for the bear!
Now it was time to work on the birth certificate.  Daddy did this part!
Here we are with our new bear, Jessie!  Only 41 more days until Jessie is due!  We can't wait to see if Jessie is a boy or a girl!

Uncle Jeff and Marielle come to visit

Uncle Jeff and his girlfriend, Marielle came home from Norway for a visit!  We were lucky enough to have them stay with us a few days the beginning of the month.  It was so great to see Jeff, like always and his girlfriend is just precious.  As you can see McKenzie loved her!  She is from Norway so McKenzie loved listening to her talk and she taught McKenzie several Norwegian words.  We had a great visit and are looking forward to seeing Jeff again at Christmas.  We hope Marielle can come too!

Happy 4th of July

Happy 4th of July! We spent our rainy, wet 4th of July in Young Harris with Jason's family. Everyone was there, even Jeff was home from Norway! We got to spend time with sweet cousin Karlee. She is such a great baby! She just smiles and smiles. McKenzie absolutely loved her! Maybe MG does need a little sister! It won't be long now until we know! We hope everyone had a great 4th of July! Thank you to all our troops who continue to serve our country! God Bless the USA!

Tyler and Michelle Visit

Tyler and Michelle (Jason's cousin) came to visit on Monday and left this morning. They are on their way back to North Carolina after visiting family in Florida. We had a great time with them. We always do! They are so amazing with the kids and keep them completely entertained. We spent the day yesterday in the pool. It was fabulous! It is always so good to see them and hang out. It is always a sad day when they leave.

Poor Jason had his wisdom teeth out this morning but is doing great! That is why he isn't smiling much, it hurt and looks like he has puffy cheeks.

We tried to get Landon in the picture and he wanted no part of it.

Landon's first Haircut

Yesterday, Landon got his first haircut!  We are so lucky and our hair cutter lives in our neighborhood so she comes right to our house!  Landon wanted no part of a haircut even with me holding him.  So we put him in his highchair and gave him a popsicle and he was good to go!  He looks like such a little boy now!  I can't believe he is almost 2!

Landon has also decided that he sits at the table now and is done with highchair.  He does so much better at the table.  He eats so well and doesn't throw his food!  He has also started using the potty and last night he pooped on it!  It was a big day for Landon yesterday!
