My Kitchen Helper

Today McKenzie and I decided to make some chocolate covered pretzels. I dipped them in the chocolate and she put the sprinkles on. We had a blast making these and she loved helping. I am not sure if the floor or the pretzels got more sprinkles but it sure was fun!

Gymnastics...

McKenzie has started to take gymnastics. She loves it! She goes every Tuesday morning. She is behind her class because she is the youngest one, but she tries so hard and loves every minute of it! It is absolutely precious to watch her flip and flop all over. Here she is already to start class today!

A Special Day with John Russell

Yesterday McKenzie got to have a play date with her cousin John Russell! McKenzie loved every minute of it! They painted and played in the playroom and of course swam! It was a really fun day for McKenzie and she is already asking when sweet John Russell can come back to play again!

Sam's Special Bear

Tonight we went as a family to Build-A-Bear to build Baby Sam's Heartbeat Bear! McKenzie was so excited to do this. She got to pick the bear out, we all got to kiss a heart and put it in, McKenzie got to stuff it, bathe it, and help Daddy make the birth certificate! It was so fun! Now, baby Sam has a little bear with a heartbeat just like McKenzie does!

MG choose this one! It matches hers but a little bit lighter in color!

Sam's Sprinkle

Yesterday, was Sam's Sprinkle! It was so much fun! The 4 girls that had the shower for me did such a nice job. It was perfect! Since it was a sprinkle, it was all things sprinkles and polka dots. These girls thought of everything! We had make your own sundaes with any kind of topping you could imagine, including sprinkles, of course! A fruit salad carved like a baby carriage and the most delicious dip to go with it. And last but defiantly not least, vanilla cupcakes with white frosting! Since we did not find out what our little Sam is, every person got to guess what they thought it is going to be by sprinkling either pink or blue sprinkles onto their cupcake! How fun is that? I had to have two cupcakes to make sure that I covered both options. Also, because they were just delicious! I got so many nice gifts. McKenzie was right there for it all and loved every minute of celebrating her new baby! She just can't wait to meet this precious little Sam! The hostesses even put together a bag of things especially for McKenzie of activities to do while I am busy with the baby. They truly thought of everything. I am so blessed to have such amazing friends in my life!

The favors were washcloth cupcakes!

S*U*R*P*R*I*S*E*

Yesterday, was a very busy day full of surprises! I had planned a surprise birthday party for Jason last night at the Irish Bread Pub. He is only turning 29 but I wanted to catch him off guard and I totally did! That is hard to do. He seems to find out about everything. The look on his face when we walked in was priceless! So that was the big surprise.

However, there were little surprises all day long. McKenzie and I had gone to the Pub early yesterday to drop off the cake and such and while we were there she pulled the fire alarm. Yes, the fire alarm. I could have literally died right there. The fire trucks came and everything. It was awful. However, the owner knew the firemen so they did not fine him. That was surprise # 2!

About 5:00 yesterday afternoon we had a thunderstorm roll through. It took out the power at the Pub. So when we got there at 7 there was still no power. (Surprise #3!) The power company had told the owner of the Pub that it would be back on by 7, however, at 9:30 we had to close down the party because the power was still not back on and we could not see anything inside the Pub. But, none of that mattered. The employees of the Pub were wonderful! Even with no power we had all of our appetizers that I had ordered so everyone could still eat. It was a great party! Lots of our most precious friends were there and that was all that mattered! Happy 29th Birthday Love! Our arrival
