Zoo Atlanta

Today we took McKenzie to the zoo. We have not been to the zoo since her 1st birthday. It was the greatest weather for the zoo. It was cool when we got there this morning and by this afternoon it had warmed up to 80 degrees! They have a merry-go-round, train, petting zoo, and playground at the zoo also. McKenzie could not get enough of the merry-go-round. I could only ride it once and that was enough to realize it is not something good to do when you have the nausea pregnancy that I have been having! However, Jason and our friend Lo Lo who went with us, were troopers and rode it over and over again while I watched!

The animals were amazing today. We were standing at the gorilla exhibit and this one gorilla was just propped up on his knee watching us. All of a sudden he came running down and sat right in front of the glass where McKenzie was standing. It all happened so quickly that it scared here at first but then she thought that was really cool! She eventually kissed him through the glass. It was priceless. And of all days....I forgot my camera. We were already down the road when I remembered and how I wish I had all that on film. Then we saw the Panda Bears and the baby Panda was dropped right out of her Mom's mouth in front of McKenzie. It was her lucky day! Again, she thought it was very cool!

We had a wonderful day at the zoo. I just wished I had my camera! We will just have to go back!

The Georgia Aquarium

Today we went to the Georgia Aquarium! It was so much fun. McKenzie has been before but this time she LOVED it! She was so into all the fish. She never got bored or wanted to go and was so into every bit of it. The Georgia Aquarium is so nice and kid friendly. It every exhibit there are "bubbles" for the kids to get inside so when they look up it looks like they are inside the tanks. It is really cool and today being a rainy, nasty day, was the perfect day to go. We had a blast with Ceaser, Connor, and John Russell. Thanks for inviting us on your Spring Break adventure!

Shark!

If you look real close at the above picture you will see three scuba divers in the water near the bottom left side. They were actually talking to us and tell us all about that exhibit from under water. It was very cool!

Tate's 3rd Birthday Party

On Saturday we celebrated Tate's 3rd birthday! Which is so hard to believe that we have had this sweet boy in our family for 3 years already! He is such a great kid and his party was nothing short of fantastic! We had a "tailgate" to go along with the football themed party! Brian grilled in the rain and everyone enjoyed hotdogs and hamburgers. The kids played complete the pass where they threw footballs through a hole and pin the ball between the goal posts. However, when Amber did it to demonstrate to the kids how to play she pinned hers on the goal post so they all thought they were supposed to do that too! Hilarious! Tate got a lot of really cool presents and blow out his candle all by himself in one blow! It was a really fun party and everyone had a blast! My only regret from the day is that I did not get my picture taken with the birthday boy. Happy 3rd Birthday Sweet Tate!

Check out this jersey...I am thinking the first of many to come!

They sure do love each other! Tate called McKenzie "cheerleader" the entire day! It was priceless! At one point he asked her where her pom poms were and she said she did not have any. Without missing a beat he replied, you need to ask Santa for some next year! (I love to listen to their conversations...they are priceless!)

Tate's Loot!

Checkout his table runner...made by Martha (AKA...Amber)

All the kids got to decorate foam fingers...they had a ball doing that!

Uncle Mike got a pic this year! Last year he was the only one who did not get in a single one.

Hitch even had a 3 jersey!

Finished foam fingers...minus Blake's.

MG could not get enough of the baby...we had to keep reminding her to be gentle.

I love this one...he is so proud! Look at his beautiful eyes!

He did it!

Blake wanted to help all the kids open presents!

Jaimie trying hard to keep up with all the presents getting opened at one time!
