Santa and 6 Month Pictures

Hey Everyone! We hope that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We were in the mountains with Jason's family and had a nice time. It was the first holiday with Jeffrey in Africa so that was a bit hard. However, we got to Skype with him twice that day and see him on the computer so it was really like he was there! Technology is so amazing! Auntie Amber and Uncle Brian just got a new computer and it has Skype on it. So now McKenzie and Tate can see each other and make there little noises to each other over the computer. It is very exciting!
Today I went into McKenzie's room to check on her during her nap. She had been sleeping for about 2 hours. She hadn't made a peep over the monitor but I went to check on her anyways. When I opened the door she was sitting up in her crib playing with her pacifiers. I have no idea how long she had been awake. But, she was being so quiet! So as of today she can sit up all by herself and is not afraid to do it. Tonight after her bath she rolled all over the changing table until she could maneuver her way to sitting position! It is so amazing how fast she is changing and how in one day's time she can do something new. She is still not crawling yet and still getting mad when she gets up on all fours and falls over.
We have our house all decorated for Christmas now, inside and out. McKenzie has her own little tree in her room; it's pink! She loves to look at all the decorations and touch the trees. She loves to stare at the lights on the trees. We are very excited about Christmas with her this year.
We do not have a very busy week ahead. McKenzie and I are going to tackle some more Christmas shopping and wrapping. However, our weekend will be very busy! Friday night was are having Christmas with our cousins in Alabama. Saturday morning we are going to a Christmas shindig with crafts and Santa and then Saturday night will be going to a Stone Mountain Christmas with Brooke, Brad, and Brock! Then Sunday is church! I am sure we will have lots to share after this week and weekend! Keep checking our site for updates.
We hope you enjoy the pictures below! Jason and I were very excited about them! We were also very excited about making the photographer's website! Her name is Emily Boyce. Check it out!

Happy Thanksgiving

Hey everyone! We hope that you are having an excellent Thanksgiving week! We are leaving tomorrow to go to Young Harris for Thanksgiving to be with Jason's family. We had a great time in Madison over the weekend celebrating it there.

McKenzie did an awesome job with her Santa pictures last Wednesday if you read our previous blog. She actually made it on the front page of the photographer's website! We were so excited about that!

We got our house all decorated for Christmas between yesterday and today. That is always such a job but so fun and it looks so nice! Jason does an amazing job with Christmas decorating. He put so many lights on the trees and mantel that we blew a fuse! He is waiting to the outside after Thanksgiving!

We hope that you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving! Be safe if you are traveling and get the deals if you are shopping! :)

Boppa & Bom and a Jeffrey Update

Hey everyone! I hope you are having a great week and staying warm! It has gotten so cold this week. We have just been staying in. On Sunday we had a nice surprise. My dad came to our house and brought my grandparents from New York. We don't get to see them much because of the distance. They are staying with us until Wednesday. On Wednesday I will be taking them back to Madison. Wednesday night in Madison, McKenzie will be meeting Santa for pictures for the very first time! I'll let you know how that goes! McKenzie and I will be staying in Madison until Sunday. Jason and Baxter will join us there Friday after work. We will be celebrating Thanksgiving with my family on Saturday since we will be with Jason's family in the mountains on Thanksgiving Day.

We have really enjoyed Boppa and Bom (my grandparents) and McKenzie has loved them playing with her! She has performed royally for them and continues to talk all the time! They bought her a rocking horse that really looks like a horse and makes the galloping sounds. I thought she would be afraid of it but she laughs and loves it! Today she rolled (not crawling yet, just rolling!) over to it and tried to pull herself on. It is so cute to watch her ride it!

For all of you who check our blog know that Jason's middle brother Jeffrey is in Africa for two year as a missionary. He was supposed to spend his time in Tanzania but now we have found out that he will be living in Kenya instead. He has mixed emotions about the move but is very excited to be with people he knows in Kenya. He was the lone ranger in Tanzania. We are so proud of him and of course miss him like crazy. Please continue to pray for Jeff and his move to Kenya as he strives to reach the world and church the unchurched! He is amazing!

We hope that you all have an excellent rest of the week!

7 Months and a busy Weekend

Hey! We hope that everyone had a great week and weekend! We sure did. It is hard to believe that it is the second weekend in November already. Today McKenzie is 7 months old. We can't believe it! Time has just flown by. She is not crawling just yet but is trying to get her feet under her when she is on the tummy. She does not have any teeth yet either. However, she rolls all over the floor. She can roll from one end of the room to the the other and under the coffee table. She bangs on the coffee table like a drum when she gets under it!

Yesterday my mom (Debbie) had a Christmas Open House at her house and Tate and McKenzie dressed the part of Mr. and Mrs. Claus! They stole the show! They were so cute if I say so myself. So, we got to spend the weekend with Auntie Amber and Cousin Tate as we helped Nana get ready for her open house. Tate is so big. He is crawling all over the place. His two little bottom teeth are growing right in! He is so sweet to McKenzie. He always kisses her with his mouth wide open. It is so precious. He pats her back and hugs her too. McKenzie loves him so much but she is a bit rough at time to him and pulled his hair over the weekend until he cried. We had to separate them from sleeping in the same room. They kept waking each other up. Friday night they were both wide awake a 12:30 am! It was a zoo! But, Nana thought it was great! They love to play together and it is so much fun to watch them interact with each other. We are so blessed to have two health babies in our family who are so cute together. God is so good all of the time! We hope you have a great week!
