Chairman's Cabinet and Crest 2010

Jason and I just got back from 8 awesome days in the British Columbia of Canada! It was his work trip for the summer. We left on June 1 and returned late on the 8th. McKenzie went to Grandma's house while we were gone. She had a blast! It was a great break for all of us.

Jason and I started out in Victoria. We stayed there two nights at The Empress! It was gorgeous! We got to go whale watching and had two fabulous dinners! After lunch on the third day at the famous Butchart Gardens we took seaplanes to Whistler where we met up with the rest of the group. We went two days early because Jason made the extra trip called Chairman's Cabinet.

Upon landing on the water in the seaplane, which was an absolutely amazing flight, over the mountain tops and over the waters, literally like in a movie...we got to our hotel to begin Crest 2010. We stayed at the Four Seasons in Whistler! It was so beautiful! Whistler is very mountainous and there was still snow on the tops of them. While we were there we took a Hummer ride to see the ancient Cedar Trees, we went Dog Sledding, had an amazing dinner on a golf course, Jason went ziplining and rode on the Gondola and did Peek to Peek. We also were in walking distance of the Whistler Village and did a good bit of shopping and had wonderful food there as well. One morning I was getting ready and looked out the window and there was huge bear! It was just so close and eating some grasses. Very cool!

We had to leave for the airport very early. We flew from Vancouver to Seattle and then from Seattle to Atlanta. When we arrived in Seattle we had to exchange our tickets for Delta tickets and we got upgraded to first class! Neither Jason nor I have ever flown first class! It was super fun and the leg room was amazing! We had a great trip! However, as always, it was great to get back home. Especially when a 2 year old is waiting! McKenzie did a great job away! We were so proud of her!
