McKenzie's 4th Birthday Party

Saturday, we had McKenzie's 4th birthday party...Minnie Mouse style!  It was really fun!  We had pizza for lunch.  Two clowns showed up and did face painting with all the kids and then much to our surprise, Mickey and Minnie Mouse showed up!  The kids went crazy!  Mickey and Minnie danced with them and then smiled for tons of pictures.  We also had a bouncy slide that was a hit with not only the little kids but the big kids as well!  It was a very fun day!

Happy 4th Birthday McKenzie

Monday, April 9th, the day after Easter this year, our little McKenzie Grace turned 4! Holy cow, how did that happen so quickly? We are not sure at all. It has been such an amazing and rewarding journey being her Mama. McKenzie continues to learn so much at school and her memory is so amazing, forgetting nothing and I mean nothing! She is still my constant right arm with raising Landon and loves him so much. She takes such great care of him and is always wanting to do more for him. MG is still swimming at Aqua-Tots and loves the water just like I do. That is so exciting to me! She is like a little fish and is doing so well. She already knows her address and phone number too!

McKenzie had an extremely busy birthday on Monday. She went to school. Then she had lunch at Chick-fil-A with her school. Then it was off to swim practice and then one of her friends from school had a birthday party at Chuck-E-Cheese that she just had to attend. I told her we could eat any where or I would cook anything because it was her birthday and all she wanted was to go to the birthday party at C-E-C! So, we all went to be with her on her birthday. The major sugar crash and exhaustion hit towards the end of the birthday party and Jason ended up carrying her our in an epic meltdown. It was a really fun day though and she got to do all the things that she really wanted to do, recovering from Strep throat and all! We are going to have a Minnie Mouse party on the 21st to celebrate with family and friends. It should be fantastic! She is so excited about it!

Happy Birthday Precious McKenzie Grace!

McKenzie's Cookie Cake for her class at school. They celebrated her birthday today! She wanted to take in a cookie cake with butterflies and cheese crackers so that is what she took!

Happy Easter

Happy Easter! Well, our Easter did not go as planned at all this year. Saturday, McKenzie came down with a fever of 102 and strep throat...again. So instead of going to The Farm for our annual Egg Hunt Extravaganza we with Tate and Tucker, we had to stay home. It was a very quiet day. We dyed eggs and had an egg hunt. Then for our big meal we went to Cracker Barrel in the evening because I did not have anything to cook for Easter dinner since we were not planning on being home. Oh well, it turned out just fine and the Easter Bunny found us for sure! So another holiday cancelled by strep throat. However, this time the doctor said that it is time to talk about having McKenzie's tonsils taken out. I hope they go through with it because she gets strep all the time. Poor girl just hates going to the doctor because she knows they will swab her throat. It is awful. But, all in all we are on the mend now and the outcome is still the same. He has risen! Happy Easter!

Landon is 7 Months Old

On Sunday, Landon turned 7 months old! That is so hard to believe! He is eating meats now, which he really does like that much. So now for dinner we have dropped the rice cereal and he has a meat, a vegetable, and a fruit. He still eats his rice cereal for breakfast with another fruit. He can hold his sippy cup now all by himself! He can almost sit up by himself too. He does for just a second and then falls over. The boy rolls all over the floor though! He has also learned to suck his top lip and make a noise with it! He clicks his little tongue all the time and then laughs. He is still a great sleeper and such a happy, relaxed child. We are truly blessed!

Little Helpers

Today was cleaning day at our house! MG loves to help! She insisted that she clean the bathroom mirror! She did a great job too! Sweet Landon was being good as gold in his jumper.

Easter Party Slocumb Style

Yesterday, we had the most fabulous day! I took the kids to the Slocumbs house and Brooke had an Easter party. It was fantastic as all her parties are! Look at her decoration. Yes, she made them all! The kids had a pizza lunch, did an Easter craft, colored an Easter picture, had a huge egg hunt, jumped in a bounce house, and even dyed eggs. Only Brooke could do all that! It was such a fun day! We are so lucky to have such great friends!
