Easter 2013~ Madison

We were all together in Madison for Easter this year. We had a great time! The egg hunt was awesome as always! Although I still think out of all the kids now, Steve still likes it the very best! After we ate and did the egg hunt and everyone found their baskets we went to Maggie's farm and watched her rope some calves. Tate and McKenzie got to ride her horse Amigo all by themselves. McKenzie loved it and talked about it all the way home! Now of course, she wants a horse! Not such a great idea while living in a subdivision! We are looking into getting her some riding lessons and see where it goes.
Landon and his basket!
MG was too excited to look up for a picture!
Our family pictures are such a joke these days.  We are now at the stage where Landon doesn't want to sit still and smile and McKenzie thinks she shold make funny faces.

I love this picture of Landon and Steve holding hands.  So sweet!
Don't worry, Maggie roped every single calf Steve let out for her!  She is amazing on a horse with a rope!

All by herself!

McKenzie's Easter Party at the ELC

Last Thursday was McKenzie's Easter Party at her school. I, along with the two room moms was in charge of this party. It was a blast! Pinterest has made every party so easy! The kids at a snack and made a bunny craft out of their hand prints and then we had an egg hunt! Every child was looking for 12 eggs but every child had a list of specific eggs they were to collect. It made it way more fun and took much long than just saying, "Go get them!" All the kids were really excited and had a great time!
Here was the snack!  Inside the blue egg was an egg shaped PB&J sandwich, green egg was cucumbers, purple egg was M&Ms, Pink egg was ranch dressing, and orange egg was Mandarin oranges.  Then the last space was a strawberry dipped into white chocolate-dyed orange to look like a carrot!  The kids loved opening the eggs to see what was inside!

Let the Egg Hunt begin!

Landon's Bug

Landon has this big plastic bug that he carries around with him everywhere and puts it in things and then we find it all over the house.  On a first glance it will scare you every time.  Landon is also into closing the soap door when the dishwasher is open.  He will just come by and shut the door so when you go to start the dishwasher you have to open the soap door to put the soap in first.  Very routinely I was doing that the other day and when I opened up the soap door to put in the soap there was his bug.  I screamed!  It was hilarious!  Last weekend, Jason and I were in Greenville, SC for the George Strait concert and when he got his dress shoes out of the bag to put on for dinner he screamed.  I asked him what was wrong and in his shoe was Landon's bug!  So now we try to prepare ourselves for the bug to be anywhere!  It is quite funny!  :)

Morgan Kate or Nobody

McKenzie is just absolutely, 100% sure that our new baby will be a girl.  She says she already has one brother and that is enough.  The other morning Jason and McKenzie were having breakfast together and she told Jason that if the baby is a girl we are going to name her Morgan Kate.  We have not even discussed names yet, but she is sure that will be the name if it's a girl.  Then Jason asks, "Well what if it's a boy?"  McKenzie's response..."Then we name him Nobody.  Like this Daddy, Nobody come on it's time to go."  Well needless to say we just died laughing and we have decided to no find out what this baby is either so hopefully we can have a name better than Nobody if we have another little boy!

Scottsdale, AZ ~Master's 2013

Last week Sunday-Thursday, Jason and I were in Scottsdale, AZ for his work trip that he earned. We have never been there and it was absolutely gorgeous! It was such a fun trip. Jason had meetings that he had to attend but I just got to hang out. I visited the pools and actually read a book! I had time to do that! We met a ton of really nice people. This was our first trip with the new company that Jason works for now, LPL Financial. So we went knowing no one and came home with several new friends. I will not be making the next trip to San Diego because it is in August 2 weeks before baby #3 is due! But, I'm looking forward to meeting back up with everyone next year!

Very Behind...

Well I have gotten behind on the blogging and I am just trying to catch up! It has been a very busy few week with the stomach virus and being out of town.

Landon has turned 18 months old already. He is WALKING!!! He is everywhere and into everything! He is so fast and sneaky, I really have to watch him. We are all done with physical therapy and he has graduated from all of that! I can't believe how fast March is already passing and very soon we will have a 5 year old which I can't even believe!  Here are the stats from Landon's 18 month check up.

Landon
Weight: 24 lbs (23%)
Height: 34 inches (89%)
Head Circumference: 45 1/2 cm (4%)

McKenzie (18 Months)
Weight: 25 lbs (75%)
Height: 35 inches (95%)
Head Circumference: 47 3/4 cm (90%)

Here are some pictures from what we have been up to this month so far!

Landon's first snow! It happened March 3rd and I'm so glad I took these pictures because it was all melted when we got home church! He didn't quite know what to make of it but his smile was so precious!

We had a play date with Allison, Jennifer, and little Katy this month!

Landon has discovered Baxter's crate.  He loves to get inside of it and shut the door.  I can remember McKenzie doing this too.  So funny!

Landon's favorite toys are still the pots and pans.  He drags them all over the house.  On this day, I found him with the frying pan in the dinning room and he was sitting in it!  He is hilarious!

McKenzie and Landon have really started to play well together.  He is finally old enough to really play but young enough to still do as she says!  (This is one of the many crafts that MG is wearing on her head that she has made!)

The other day I was making cookies and the phone rang.  When I came back into the kitchen this is what I found!  McKenzie, my very special helper had taken over and was making all the cookie dough balls for me!  She did a great job too!

This was taken before church this morning.  March 17th, St. Patrick's Day!

Another New Ticker

Last night we told McKenzie and Landon that we were going to have another baby! McKenzie was so excited she cried! She has been praying for a sister for a really long time. Now, if it a boy I'm not sure what she'll do! She demanded that she wear her shirt to school today and that Landon had to wear his too! So now we will have a new ticker for a count down to the birth of number 3! This baby is due August 31st!

Granny's Birthday Celebration

Saturday we went to Granny and Granddaddy's house for Granny's 73rd birthday! We took lunch and a cake and celebrated with her. It was very fun to spend the day with them. We all love them so much!

Date Night

Saturday night Jason and McKenzie went to the Daddy/Daughter date night at Chick-Fil-A. They got all dressed up and had a great time. CFA does it every year around Valentine's Day. So, Landon and I went out too! Katie came along with us and we ate at a delicious Italian restaurant! It was a great night!
